student union.
The Student Union at Suffolk University, situated on the 2nd floor of 8 Ashburton Place (Sawyer Building), is slated for a remodel. Presently, its design lacks cohesion and aesthetic appeal. The proposed remodel aims to transform it into a multifunctional space, incorporating a lounge, cafe with seating, music room, radio room, game room, and conference room. Furthermore, the union will also serve the community during emergencies, offering accommodation for up to 50 cots, along with showers, a quarantine station, and pet storage. The goal is to establish a distinct and well-defined identity through both function and design, enabling the student body to maximize the space’s potential while also contributing to the community.
